We will break down Surya Namaskara A+B, the standing and some seated postures of the series, as well as backbends, inversions, and the closing postures. The asanas will be broken down for experienced practitioners and beginners alike. We will use the traditional ‘Tristana’ method and break down breath, bhandas, and drishti. We will learn to focus on the Vinyasa; linking breath to movement.
Along with asana practice we have a satsang to discuss the yogic philosophy that comes with Ashtanga. You will have the opportunity to learn and practice the opening and closing Sanskrit mantras of Ashtanga along with the Sanskrit counts. This is a great opportunity for any practicing yogi or beginner to focus more deeply on their entire yoga practice.”
