Erez grew up in Israel. At the age of eighteen he joined the Israeli Army and was recruited for the Special Forces for four and a half years. Upon leaving he traveled the world. It was in Minneapolis that he discovered Yoga. He always knew he would do something in his life which combined the physical and spiritual. Erez found his destiny in the practice of Ashtanga Yoga.
Erez has traveled to India, California and New York in order to study with his teacher, the founder of Ashtanga Yoga, Shri K. Pattabhi Jois. He has supplemented his training by studying with the only teachers in the world who are qualified to teach Ashtanga due to the fact that they have spent a lot of time in India in order to be certified by Pattabhi Jois. They are as follows: Manju Jois, Pattabhi’s son, Shirat Jois, Pattabhi’s grandson, Michael Gannon, Govinda Kai, and Kino MacGregor.
Erez’s favorite teachers are his two beloved children Lilly and Lucas whom he learns from each and every day!
Erez teaches authentic, traditional Ashtanga, mixing the physical and the spiritual in a seamless flow
Sara is passionate about movement of all kinds. She has a background in dance and was introduced to yoga in a Toronto acting class. After taking Vinyasa and Hatha yoga classes over the years, she discovered traditional Ashtanga yoga and it is her primary practice and what she loves to teach.
Along her yoga journey, Sara has found deep healing from anxiety, depression and disordered eating. Sara believes strongly in the transformative power of yoga through the mind/body connection and the joy of coming fully into the present moment, and hopes to help bring yoga to all.
Sara is grateful to have been trained at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis teacher training program in 2014. In 2015, she became certified to teach Super Stretch kid’s yoga. She has studied Ashtanga with Kino MacGregor, Tim Feldman, Mark Robberds, Angela Jamison, Richard Freeman, David Swenson and Manju Jois. Sara is thankful for her many teachers including Noah Mazé, Sydney Holly, Seane Corn, Baron Baptiste, Eric Schiffman, Rodney Yee, Lynn Thomasberg, Margaret Truesdell Hall, Elise Radtke-Rosen, Moya McGinn Matthews, Jennifer Grey and Ted Roseen.
In her spare time, Sara enjoys being a mom to her 2 young kids, hiking, photography and writing for Minnesota Yoga + Life Magazine.
