8-Limb Path of Yoga – Asteya, non-stealing is on the other side of the coin, gratitude. Observe your thoughts, actions, words from this context and come and share. Our next month’s study focus will be presented in the second half: Brahmacharya – sometimes erroneously interpreted as celibacy. It is not that…come and learn what this is readings, discussion. Then carry this view into your next month. For those in teacher training and all yoga students who wish to explore the 7 other limbs other than asana.
Twists – A Healing and Balance Workshop – Lynn Shuck 4/14 2-4 pm
Twists. What are the benefits? What are the possible dangers? Do you know if you’re twisting or turning your spine, and what’s the difference? We’ll look at some of the most commonly taught twists and start to understand how the spine and torso move in these powerful poses. “You are as old as your spine is mobile.”
Prior yoga experience is not required.
Full Moon Meditation Vin to Yin with Live Music – 4/20 7-8:30 pm
Near the full moon, there is a tremendous increase in emotional and creative energy. Harness this energy in class utilizing gentle movement, breath work, guided meditation and essential oils. Live music! $35. Two for $60
Yoga For Travel – Kim Cramer 4/27 2-3:30 pm
Kim Cramer is a yoga teach and former road warrior who traveled 40+weeks/year. These travel tips are all road-tested!
Yoga and Flowers Workshop (With Mom) 5/4 2-4pm
Join us the weekend before Mother’s Day for a two hour yoga and flower bouquet-making event! What a great opportunity to have some extra-special fun for Mother’s Day!
(Please note: Everybody is welcome to join the event, it’s not only to celebrate mom, and you don’t need to have yoga experience to practice and learn with us. Yoga is for every body!)
We’ll begin the workshop with a one-hour Yin Yoga + Slow Flow Vinyasa-style relaxing yoga practice. Then we’ll teach you tons of bouquet-making skills as you create your own special flower bouquet! All the supplies will be provided, just bring your yoga body (and your friends, siblings and mom)!
