Molly Long is a certified RYT 200 Level yoga instructor. She has been in recovery from alcoholism for 5+ years, relying on 12 step meetings, service, and a regular yoga practice to keep her sane. One of her greatest passions is guiding people to discover their mind-body connection. Yoga, in her opinion, is the ultimate source of this experience. She creates a calm, non-judgmental space with pranayama (breath), asana (movement), and meditation. She enjoys working with all types of people, including those new to the yoga practice.
Molly teaches Vinyasa Yoga Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 am and Sundays at 10 am. She is starting a Solace Yoga Series later this fall/early winter. Please email us to be on the waiting list.
This 6-week yoga workshop is meant to be an additional tool to incorporate into your life of recovery. This might be recovery from addiction, codependency, or anything else you may be seeking relief from. We will unify our physical bodies with our emotional and spiritual bodies using the practice of yoga.
Our 75-minute class begins with a discussion regarding the principles of the 12 steps, 50 minutes of yoga, and a closing check-in. We will exercise, breathe, and meditate as a recovery community. Class is open to all levels and all body types. Class is held both in person and over Zoom. Please bring a yoga mat, 2 blankets, a journal and pen to class. Yoga blocks are optional.
