About My Practice
Yoga has been a part of my life for over 20 years and this practice has helped me become stronger and more flexible both physically and mentally. Yoga helps to remind me that each day is different and that’s okay.
I completed my first 200 hour YTT back in 2011 through CorePower Yoga and my second 200 hour YTT through Good Vibrations Yoga in 2019. I am a graduate of CenterPoint School of Massage and Shiatsu Therapy School in St. Louis Park, MN where I currently teach Shiatsu Foundations. I am also a Certified Practioner with American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA). I love learning and am grateful for all the knowledge my wonderful teachers have gifted me with along my yoga journey.
Because of my background as a CMT, I draw upon my knowledge of Eastern Medicine, Shiatsu, Yoga and Massage to help my clients and students use their own energy to heal their mind, body and soul.
I believe that bodywork is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. Both yoga and hands on bodywork move the blood and qi through the body’s energetic pathways or “meridians”. When the blood and qi are able to flow freely, the body is able to heal itself better. This helps the body to feel less pain and lower the chance of injury.
I can’t help but think of the therapeutic components of each pose when putting together a sequence for my classes.
