Ashtanga Primary Series is appropriate for all levels. Rooted in the traditional Primary Series of Sri K. Pattahbi Jois, this style of yoga is a beautifully athletic, flowing “meditation in motion” that inspires the self-discipline of a personal home practice. Using synchronized breath & movement, the set sequence quiets the mind & opens the heart as it cleanses & purifies the body’s energy systems. This well-rounded practice includes two variations of sun salutes, and a sequence of standing, seated, & finishing poses.
Ashtanga yoga primary series is a specific series of poses, ordered the same every time, designed to align, strengthen, detoxify and rebalance musculature system and internal organs. Ujjayi breath, alignment, bandhas – all are learned and eventually become second nature in the practice. Each week we will focus on an aspect of the practice to spend a little extra time on and become more familiar with it. Alignment is important when practicing in order to get the benefits without stress injuries to joints and muscles.
All Levels except Beginner
The primary series is distinguished by it’s set sequence that takes 90 minutes to perform, ujjayi breathing, utilizing bandhas and drishti (inner & outer focus). Though the practice is not suitable for beginners to yoga, the practice is meant to gradually build strength, good physical alignment, endurance and flexibility, practiced regular, this series will give the yoga practitioner great focus, lightness and a sense of greater strength and poise.
For those who know the primary series
Mysore style – Students come and practice the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga under the guidance of one of our Ashtanga trained teachers. The class is not led so students practice on their own while the teacher will adjust and assist as needed. Students should know the primary series to attend. New to ashtanga students should attend a led-class first.

Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan® is also known as the Yoga of Awareness. It offers an opportunity for deep inner reflection through conscious breathing and movement. It allows you to truly experience you. Kundalini Yoga uses mantra (chanting) to harness the power of the mind, and is practiced with the eyes closed. After a movement practice (Kriya), experience deep relaxation, followed by a meditation. The exercises in the kriya bring the body and mind to a state where deep meditation is easily achieved.
All Kundalini classes are safe and appropriate for beginners, no previous yoga experience is necessary.

Restorative yoga is the absence of stretch. If you feel any sensation at all, realign, modify and add more props until you feel total ease. It’s not about stretching and feeling, it’s about allowing and being. It’s not about doing, it’s about not doing, being in the poses long enough for the nervous system to enter the parasympathetic-dominant state (total relaxation and healing state).
Beginner – All Levels

Set the tone for your day with an early morning “vin to yin” practice. Wake up your muscles and your circulation with heat-building vinyasa, then nourish your connective tissue and increase flexibility in your joints with cooling yin. Stride into your work day feeling accomplished, energized, and focused.
Beginner – Intermediate
In these challenging and athletic Vinyasa Yoga classes, poses are linked together and synced with the breath. We flow through the asanas connecting each sequence with a vinyasa. This keeps the body warm and engaged throughout the practice. This is a beautiful, dynamic style of Yoga that maintains a playful and flow-like quality. There is no set sequence and each teacher brings his/her own style. Many of the classes incorporate music to support the energy of the flow. Most classes are all levels or levels are indicated on the schedule.

A more meditative approach with a physical focus- and much deeper than Yang-like practices- Yin Yoga is deep stretching in resting postures, held for a few minutes or more in each pose. In Yin, the practitioner is accessing the deeper tissues such as the connective tissue and fascia, and many of the postures focus on areas that encompass a joint (hips, sacrum, spine). As one ages flexibility in the joints decreases and Yin yoga is a wonderful way to maintain that flexibility, something that for many don’t seem to be too concerned about until they notice it is gone.
Beginner – All Levels
